................. AC/DC -- '74 JAILBREAK 180g LP .............. When AC/DC first signed a US record deal in 1976, they had a backlog of two albums worth of material.
High Voltage, the band's first US album, was a combination of what was seen as the best of the material of those two Australian releases.
To celebrate 10 years of recording, the band released the '74 Jailbreak EP in 1984, containing 4 tracks from the 1974 sessions, as well as Jailbreak,
originally omitted from the US release of Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. At the time, AC/DC was the biggest band in the world,
and this was their way of reflecting on their roots and giving their fans a gift of essentially unreleased early recordings...............

.............. AC/DC -- WHO MADE WHO 180 GRAM LP .............. Remastered from the original mix-down 2-track masters for unprecedented sonic brilliance. ..............
AC/DC was already the biggest band in the world when master horror writer (and huge fan) Steven King asked them to contribute music to his 1986 film Maximum Overdrive.
Filled with nightmarish images of cars, trucks, jukeboxes, and all other types of heavy metal machinery coming to life, the film was perfectly suited to the take-no-prisoners rock of AC/DC.
Contributing 3 new songs to the film, as well as 6 certifiable rock classics, the soundtrack also re-ignited interest in AC/DC's catalog and made You Shook Me All Night Long a staple at MTV.
.............. The ONLY compilation Certified Xx Platinum in the US! Features the classics Who Made Who, D.T. and You Shook Me All Night Long. ..............

.............. AC/DC -- FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK WE SALUTE YOU 180 GRAM LP .............. The title pretty much sums it up - AC/DC's music is all about the fans.
And before you even press play, you KNOW what you're getting yourself into. Pressured to 3- peat with super producer Mutt Lange,
labored over the follow-up to the mega-selling Back In Black. Switching studios several times until the sound was finally just right,
For Those About To Rock stands as a testament to the absolute dedication the band has to giving their fans only the best. ..............

.............. AC/DC FLICK OF THE SWITCH 180 GRAM LP ..............
By 1983, AC/DC was enjoying the success of being the world's biggest rock band. Following two blockbuster albums with singer Brian Johnson
(Back In Black and For Those About To Rock We Salute You) and massive sold-out world tours, the members of AC/DC (Angus and Malcolm Young on guitar,
Cliff Williams on bass and Phil Rudd on drums) were generally tired of the pomp and circumstance that came with it all. After all,
this was the rough-and-tumble bar band from Australia who only a few years ago were fighting to win over club crowds.
So the band decided to strip away all of the excesses and get back to basics. No more major producers (the band produced themselves for the first time),
no more slick management deals and a simple sketch for an album cover made Flick Of The Switch an old-fashioned stripped-down rock album—the kind they make best. ..............

.............. AC/DC -- POWERAGE 180g LP ..............
Merited for its song variety, artistic expression and sonic clarity, Powerage is favored by many aficionados to be AC/DC's most accomplished performance in a studio setting.
Recorded in Australia circa 1978, Powerage also ushered in a new era of sorts, for it marked the debut of London, England bassist Cliff Williams, whose driving,
eighth-note bottom brought AC/DC's attack to full caliber. The final album to be recorded with production team Vanda & Young during the Bon Scott era,
Powerage was their most focused work to date and really showcases Angus Young's fiery guitar playing. ..............

.............. AC/DC -- BLOW UP YOUR VIDEO 180g LP ..............
Sick and tired of the pop and pop-metal that was being heralded by MTV in 1988, AC/DC released the aptly titled Blow Up Your Video, a major reaction to the slick,
image-intensive bands that the music television format had spawned. While other bands who had always cited AC/DC as an influence (many of whom opened for the band on their way up)
became increasingly popular, the trappings of rock stardom began to creep into the genre, rendering many so-called hair bands ridiculous clones of one another.
This was diametrically opposed to AC/DC's stripped-down rock credo—something the band had stuck to since their early days. So, what to do if the genre you helped create turns on you?
You stick to your guns, crank up the volume, and simply blow them all away. ..............

.............. AC/DC FLY ON THE WALL 180g LP ..............
AC/DC's success in the early 1980's proved to be a double-edged sword.
The mere fact that Back In Black became one of the biggest selling albums of all time put heavy pressure on the band to deliver big hits, and it also made hard rock a sought-after commodity.
Therefore, record labels were now looking to to lead the way while signing second and third rate knock-offs, which only served to cannibalize the band's loyal fan base.
Hard rock had become a pop music and fashion trend! But if one thing holds true about AC/DC, it's that trends be damned.
They have always made exactly the music they have wanted, and that's exactly what Fly On The Wall represents. 1985, 1995, 1975—it doesn't matter. This is and this is timeless. .............. Certified Platinum in the US! Features the classics Fly On The Wall, Shake Your Foundations and Sink The Pink. .............. Selections: .............. 1. Fly On The Wall .............. 2. Shake Your Foundations .............. 3. First Blood .............. 4. Danger .............. 5. Sink The Pink .............. 6. Playing With Girls .............. 7. Stand Up .............. 8. Hell Or High Water .............. 9. Back In Business ..............

.............. AC/DC -- IF YOU WANT BLOOD YOU'VE GOT IT 180 GRAM LP ..............
By 1978, AC/DC was running at full throttle. Bassist Cliff Williams had recorded his first album with the band, Powerage, and the band had settled into its first truly classic line-up,
with Angus and Malcolm Young on guitars, Phil Rudd on drums, and the inimitable Bon Scott on lascivious lead vocals. The tour following that album was nothing but magic.
The band was still playing theatres and clubs throughout Europe, gradually taking the world by storm. Fortunately,
several of the dates were recorded (including the infamous Apollo gig in Glasgow, Scotland) and the best performances are assembled here as If You Want Blood You've Got It,
a monumental live album in hard rock history. ..............
Certified Platinum in the US! Recorded LIVE on the band's 1978 Powerage tour. Features the LIVE classics Whole Lotta Rosie, The Jack and Riff Raff. ..............

.............. AC/DC -- BACK IN BLACK 180 GRAM LP ..............
Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums of All Time - Rated 77/500! ..............
Remastered from the original mix-down 2-track masters for unprecedented sonic brilliance. The headline said it all: AC/DC signs up a 'plain' singer.
After all, what could the boys from Australia do after tragically losing Bon Scott, one of the greatest front men of all time? They needed to start fresh and that's exactly what they did.
With new singer Brian Johnson, AC/DC set out to prove that they still had it and ended up crafting a tribute to their late friend and coincidentally one of the biggest albums of all time.
"In the middle of album rehearsals, singer Bon Scott went on a drinking spree; he choked on his own vomit and was found dead in the back seat of a car. After two days of mourning,
guitarist Malcolm Young thought, "Well, f**k this, I'm not gonna sit around mopin' all f**kin' year." He called his brother, guitarist Angus Young,
and they went back to work with replacement vocalist Brian Johnson. The resulting album has the relentless logic of a sledgehammer.
Back in Black might be the purest distillation of hard rock ever: The title track,
"Hells Bells" and "You Shook Me All Night Long" have all become enduring anthems of strutting blues-based guitar." - www.rollingstone.com ..............

........ AC/DC: Brian Johnson (vocals); Angus Young, Malcolm Young (guitar); Cliff Williams (bass); Chris Slade (drums).Originally released as ATCO (91413).
Includes liner notes by Alan Di Perna.AC/DC had been nearly written off as a shadow of its former pulverizing self at the start of the '90s.
It seemed, sadly, that the band's best hard rock years were behind them and a younger, more able-bodied generation of rockers would be needed to carry the torch.
Out of nowhere, then, came THE RAZOR'S EDGE, an album of startling potency. Not only was the firepower back in terms of gripping riffs,
but the band was able to summon the focus to lay out its most memorable collection of songs in years. With "Thunderstruck" alone,
the band shakes off complacency with one mighty swipe. It's an instant AC/DC classic, scouring the familiar terrain of piercing guitar lines,
and a locked in rhythm section. The band also scored a direct hit with "Moneytalks,"
a pop-hook-with-a-wallop single that nearly matches the band's 1980's radio staple, "You Shook Me All Night Long." ..........

It will always be a mystery how a grown man can spend his life wearing a school tie and short pants and receive adulation from the heavy metal fraternity.
HM followers do not tolerate a cissy, yet the hugely talented Angus Young has become something of a hero.
His riff-laden fills, combined with the tough vocals of the late Bon Scott, made AC/DC one of the genre's all-time leading lights. Bordering on the lighter side of metal,
songs such as 'Love Hungry Man', 'Touch Too Much' and the title track will always delight....

AC/DC actually made their sound denser on its sophomore effort, LET THERE BE ROCK. A darker album than its predecessor, HIGH VOLTAGE,
this album leans further towards AC/DC's twisted extension in the blues tradition. Which is not to say that the band relented from its three-chord power riffing for one millisecond.
The presence of Angus Young's mighty Gibson SG looms over the album like a sheet of lead on a windless day. What has changed is the inclusion of longer songs like "Go Down,"
"Dog Eat Dog," and the floor rattling "Let There be Rock," all of which feature ripping interplay between Bon Scott's perverse howl and Young's straight for the throat guitar lines.
Where others hint at hormone-driven themes of lust and adolescent rebellion, AC/DC revel in them with abandon.
Thus "Bad Boy Boogie" and "Problem Child" are songs your parents are sure to hate with heartfelt passion.
The album's highlights are "Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be," a mighty fist-waver whose references to warmer climates are something that only the most uptight will take seriously
and the near classic "Whole Lotta Rosie," which would become one of the band's live staples and show-stoppers. ..............

AC/DC: Bon Scott (vocals); Angus Young, Malcolm Young (guitar); Mark Evans (bass); Phil Rudd (drums).
Recorded in 1976. Originally released as Atlantic (16033).Although it wasn't released stateside until '81,
DIRTY DEEDS DONE DIRT CHEAP is an Australian compilation recorded in the mid-70's. By the time of its U.S. release,
singer Bon Scott had already died of alcohol poisoning and the band had emerged from the tragedy with new singer Brian Johnson and the stunning BACK IN BLACK.
This album then, perhaps inadvertently, serves as an epitaph for the late, tattoo-emblazoned singer. And there is no more fitting eulogy than the title track,
which captures Scott in all his raunchy glory.Full of ill will, Scott snakes his way through a nasty tale of revenge. He's only too happy to provide TNT, concrete, cyanide,
whatever it takes really, to get the job done. As he snarls, growls, and finally squeals, "high voltage!" Scott is immortalized in complete reptilian glee.
Though the title tracks alone makes the album essential; there are other significant merits. The utterly tasteless hilarity of "Big Balls"
is a not-so-subtle pun Beavis and Butthead would undoubtedly have worshipped.
"Ride On" is a toned down blouse groove that is complete out of step with AC/DC's usual onslaught. All in all,
DIRTY DEEDS is a fine collection that shows these Australian bad boys doing what they do best......

...... Album Notes ..............
AC/DC: Bon Scott (voclas); Malcolm Young, Angus Young (guitar); Mark Evans (bass);
Phil Rudd (drums).HIGH VOLTAGE was the first chance America had to glimpse the raw power of Australia's best hard rock outfit.
From their earliest days, lead guitarist Angus Young, a spastic dwarf-like riff-monger who wore nothing but traditional schoolboy attire,
led this band of hooligans with gleeful perversity and balls-out ambition. The group's intent is perfectly clear from the disc's opening power chords:
to distill rock and mutate the blues down to its barest essentials in a pulverizing whomp.
Riding over the top of the battering rhythm section is the all-too-true sneer of vocalist Bon Scott,
who brings sexist anthems to a previously unachieved high (or low, depending on your reference point). With over-the-top show-stoppers about gonorrhea ("The Jack"),
HIGH VOLTAGE is not for the faint of heart. The single from this record, "T.N.T,"
got AC/DC into rock radio rotation and gave metal fans a template of the brand of molten lava the band would later weld into perfection.
The formula for which the group would eventually become famous-
-songs based around three crunching power chords and the high-pitched squeal of a man who sounds like he's just been unleashed from the reformatory--
is firmly established here. ...........
