For sale is AC/DC's For Those About To Rock We Salute You, originally released in 1981 by Atlantic Records in a gate-fold presentation with a special embossed cover. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is stamped "Masterdisk" followed by "RL", indicating that the record was mastered by Robert Ludwig at Masterdisk, N.Y.C. This state-of-the-art facility is known for creating some of the best engineering, especially with resident genius Bob Ludwig at the helm. He is known for the highest resolution sound quality. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI machine and immediately put it away into a protective inner sleeve. This preserves the integrity of any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the record. There is no original inner sleeve with this listing. The cover is graded as VG+ because of ring wear, corner rubs and stress cracks along the edges. The spine has color loss from these cracks and rubs. The vinyl is Excellent with faint surface scratches that do not affect playback. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I've owned it and still has a lot of life yet. This is still one of the best copies that I have ever seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find one in this condition. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
