Here's the lowdown:
Back in the day I would purchase the highest quality vinyl I could find - be it half-speed mastered, original master recording, or Japanese imports. I would then play the record once on my linear tracking turntable (automatic tonearm control meant less chance for mistakes) while I recorded it on to a Maxell metal cassette tape. I would then put the record into a VRP anti-static sleeve and put it back in the cover. Furthermore, I was a comic book collector so I purchased record album storage bags from my comic bag suppliers and placed the album in to those. After that they went untouched. Nobody else besides me was allowed to touch my stuff, be it comics, records or stereo equipment. Yes, an unpopular stance for a young kid but I liked my stuff MINT. Here we are about thirty years later and those policies are still in effect, drilled in time and time again (more as a precautionary measure at this point) to people around me. It still hasn't won me any additional friends. Anyway, I will thoroughly inspect each record I list under a light to verify there are no marks. I will also inspect each album cover and note any damage whatsoever. This would most likely not be in the form of wear or color nicking as the bags protected against that, but rather a slightly dinged corner or a slight crease which shows up when tilted in to the light. As far as I know they were like that when I purchased them since I would go through a stack of new records to find the best copy. Its just that stores didn't always carry stacks of import records. In any case, were talking minor stuff here, but as a fellow collector (just not of records), I know how important every detail is. Japanese imports came with lyric sheets which are still there, most likely never removed from inside the album jacket even once. Still today, I don't remove cd booklets from their cases - too much chance of damage or fingerprints.

I will be shipping these in a special record mailer box with padding. There is no need for damage after all these years. Ebay only allows $4 for shipping, so the extra $2.50 is for the box, which actually run about $3. I'll have to figure out a way to stick that on the paypal invoice. If you're okay having the record shipped sandwiched between two pieces of thick cardboard then $4 will do. Additional records ship for 50 cents. International shipping is no problem.
Inspection report on this record:
Record has two very light scratch marks on each side which will not affect playback. These are the kind which have to be tilted to the light to see. The corners on the jacket are also slightly dinged. Otherwise shiny and new looking. Somehow, back in the day, I doubt I had a choice to sort through a stack of these at Tower.
