AC/DC : The Razors Edge 1A / 1B 1st UK / Europe Press

This first pressing plays to the highest standard possible with no interference of any kind and as per usual I have play graded every track in full.  The clarity, depth, power and resonance of the audio is exceptional and 'as new' is a genuine assessment of the audio.  In line with that the vinyl itself is in pristine condition and has clearly been so well looked after over the last 34 years.  A FINAL UPGRADE version in every way.

The cover (with the embossed Warner 'W' logo on the back) is in fantastic condition with barely any wear and the original plain white inner is also in superb shape.

This first pressing was made in Germany for the UK & Europe market hence the Alsdorf info on the run offs.

Visual description

This vinyl is visually stunning with an immaculate glossy sheen and no marks or scratches.  Even looking under a strong light I cannot see any obvious hairlines, it really has been preserved so well.  The ATCO labels are in superb condition with only minimal spindle wear on S1 and just a little more on S2.

Play grading

The classic Angus Young intro on 'Thunderstruck' is 'as new' there is no other word for it and Johnson's opening vocal is just as strong.  From then on it plays with sensational power and depth and you can turn it up to max without losing any of the original sonic quality.  A superb Mint version.

Starting with 'Fire Your Guns' the rest of the side plays with phenomenal quality.  Put simply there is no interference, no background and as per always I have play graded every track in full.  A stunning version  of 'Moneytalks' and even the 'quieter' intro on 'The Razors Edge' plays perfectly.  It could be argued the album is a little over-produced but there is no denying the quality of the audio.  Every track grades as Mint - the side plays like it has never seen a turntable before!  Incredible power and no distortion either.

'Are You Ready' on S2 keeps up the good work and from the intro to the final note there is no interference.  Mint

The intro on 'Got You By The Balls' has only 2/3 barely audible statics and Johnson's opening vocal section then plays with perfect clarity and power.  The following chorus is equally as strong and it proceeds in the same way with a sonic quality that is second to none.  Another Mint track.

Straight up rocker 'Shot Of Love' plays to the same high end standard with zero intrusion and the remaining three tracks are just as impressive.  Pure power, clarity and depth in equal measure there is not one single negative.  As per S1 the entire side grades as Mint and that is no exaggeration.  As you can see from my feedback I grade with honesty as it would not be in my interests (or yours!) not to!

The Cover & Picture Inner

The glossy cover is in fantastic condition with no obvious wear, it is practically 'as new', and as stated it still has the original Our Price sticker in the top corner.  Only the bottom two corners have minimal wear / rubbing and I do mean minimal!  Oh and a tiny crimp on the opening edge.  A stunning example for sure.

The plain white poly-lined inner sleeve has only minimal creasing and a couple of tiny spots by one top corner.  It has N 37/1/5 printed in one bottom corner.

Play tested on my Rega P2 with AT-VM95EN Cart / Denon PMA-520AE Amp / B&W 684 Speakers

I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping.  This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage.  The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered.  Any over-payment will always be refunded.

The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD).  An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known.  Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing.  Please wait for the invoice before making payment and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.  Many thanks.

All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection.  They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection.  I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.

The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each.  There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up!  Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
