Marking 25 years since the release of his acclaimed solo debut, American singer-songwriter Ryan Adams revisits Heartbreaker with a collection of newly recorded versions that breathe new life into the original material from the early 2000s. This was one of Americana's defining albums - stripped back and delicately enhanced with subtle string arrangements, and these new versions lean further into the emotion that made the originals so lasting. The record was inspired by the breakdown of Adams' relationship with music publicist Amy Lombardi and became a landmark thanks to its intimate songwriting and blend of alt-country and folk. This anniversary edition offers a more reflective and mature perspective, proving that the songs' emotional resonance has only deepened with time.
