Along with Slowdive, Telescopes, Sennen, Pale Saints etc, Adorable album “Fake” is often rated as a ‘must have’ shoegaze album. The band were from Coventry and after a few records were dropped by the Creation label due to differences of opinion.

This LP is one of the first 200 which included a free single. Complete with picture inner sleeve in mint condition. Both records are excellent – probably no need to upgrade.

Review: Severely over-looked and even more under-appreciated, Adorable seem to get lost in the fray of early 90s Brit/Indie Pop. Adorable had a remarkable sense of combining intelligent subject matter and songwriting into a very accessible sound. The shoegaze guitar-driven 'Sunshine Smile', their first single and most people's first experience with the band, is a great introduction, but you shouldn't go to Ka'anapali Beach just to stick your toe in, look around and leave. This second and final album strips away the shoegaze of their debut and delves into more of their pop rock sensibilities. A much cleaner, better produced album, "Fake" nearly exceeds the quality of the first album ‘Against Perfection’. ~ Rateyour music
