Description

Here is a gem I discovered when digging through the collection of one of New York's first African music distributors! This is George Danquah with his blend of funk and highlife. Some of you may know "Just For A Moment" from some of these Afro Funk compilations out there... Well, here's your chance to cop the original vinyl.....which is extremely rare!

Side 1 is the one to look out for "Hot & Jumpy"! The name says it all... Side one is all instrumentals....with some noteworthy funk tracks. Songs include: "Mbesiafo," "African Reggae," "Just For A Moment," "Araba Soso Wo Ndzema," and "Chain of Love."

I would describe Side 2 as "light Highlife." This side is entitled, "Highlife Hits." Titles include: "Why Worry - Let's Do Highlife," "Mbesiafo," "Mese Medo No," and "Onyame Sane." They are pretty light...happy-go-lucky tracks.. Once again, Side 1 is the side to look out for!!!!!!!

Vinyl is MINT! Slight mark on the yellow label. I found it in a sleeve only - no cover photo. As such, it comes with an inner sleeve and generic, white cover. Either way, this vinyl has some killer Afro funk tunes...
