Description

Rare set of two AFRS Hollywood Bowl 16" radio transcription discs circa 1948 in outstanding N- condition. The series title was actually "Symphonies Under The Stars". Program #81 "Songs Under The Stars" features a variety of artists and composers. Ferde Grofe conducts his "Grand Canyon Suite", Helen Forrest sings "My Bill", and "Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man", and Victor Young conducts his "Sweet Sue", "Stella By Starlight" and Symphonic Scenario from "Golden Earrings". No scratches, sounds perfect. Sleeve is EX. Incomplete program missing 2 discs with parts 2, 3, 4 & 5. I can provide a copy of the audio program for the winning bidder upon request.
