This is a 2 record set of 16 inch transcription records. These records was made by the US government to play for the troops. The records are titled COMMAND PERFORMANCE. Special Christmas program for 1946. The program was aired Dec 25th 1946. Each record has 30 minutes playing time. Below is a review of the content. . Command Performance. December 25, 1946. AFRS origination. A Christmas program. The Merry Macs sing, "Pass The Biscuits, Mirandy." Jerry Colonna, Dinah Shore, Garry Moore and Jimmy Durante lecture on the subject "Anchors Aweigh," or "I Can Row, Canoe?" The Commandant of the AFRS appears on an AFRS program for the first time (his name is not mentioned) and thanks Marlene Dietrich for her appearances. She then sings, "Lili Marlene." Edgar Bergen prompts Charlie McCarthy to recite, "The Night Before Christmas." The Homer Hall Chorus sings Christmas carols. Recorded greetings from President Truman are played.
