AGUSTA'S SOUL / WINGS ... 7-inch, 45rpm LIBRARY / OST single by JOSE MASCOLO. Original Italian private pressing on the AGUSTA MV label (MVA 501), from circa mid '70s. Killer product placement / novelty / advertising / soundtrack publicity item created to promote the legendary Italian motorcycle company, MV Agusta. Fantasy mood music composed by the little known arranger with funky studio group and possibly, Nora Orlandi on vocals ;) Psychedelic lounge cum strange pop with a tropical funk / cinematic twist on the amazing AGUSTA'S SOUL theme. Breath-taking sexy scat / motorcycle sound FX / afro percussion (bongos / tumba etc) / flute and funky rhythms that eventually morph into a beautiful, classical inspired finale. Great for DJs. Booming production sound. The WINGS side audibly flanges circa midway onwards (read condition info in red below) but this track is not important. Minimal yet striking artwork sleeve with elegant typography and embossed logo of the iconic bike manufacturer. Never comes up for sale. Micro press run, for sure. Very rare Library 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition overall with some hairlines / faint scuffs and some faded, old pressing residue marks. Booming production sound. Light surface noises. Some soft pops / ticks (as you can hear on the soundclip). A slight touch of flanging to final classical phase of "Agusta's Soul" side and more prominent flanging from circa midway onwards to the "Wings" theme. Basically, the "Wings" side sounds slightly pressed off-centre but the track is not important. Mini pressing indentation / dimple to middle of "Wings" side causes one audible pop too. The laminated card picture sleeve is in strong VG+ condition with ring dirt marks / some ring creasing / corner wear and rubbing from storage. Very rare Library 45!!!
