Description
On sale here is a fully autographed copy of A-Ha’s 1988 album ‘Stay On These Roads’. It is signed in black, permanent marker pen by Morten, Pal and Mags.
It was autographed in London, during 1988, when the band appeared on breakfast television to promote its release.
I had also met the band previously during their first world tour. The photographs shown here (see images) were taken by me at the Holiday Inn in Birmingham’s City Centre during that time. Sadly, I did not take any photographs of the band when I met them on this particular occasion in 1988.
As I recall, the meeting was swift as the band had to be in the studio promptly, but still stopped to sign things and met with the small gathering of fans who were there. When I met them, they signed this LP ('Stay On These Roads') and also the ‘Scoundrel Days’ LP (which is not for sale).
The record, cover and liner bag are all in clean, generally excellent condition with light signs of use, but no major defects and plays perfectly.
As well as scanning the sleeve (see images) I have also scanned all three signatures in detail and have assembled them as a composite image, so you can see what they look like with greater clarity.
This LP will come mailed to you with a personal letter, written and signed by me, detailing the exact circumstances in which I obtained the signatures.
These are genuine, hand signed signatures and are not copies or prints.
I am not an autograph dealer - this item is from my own personal collection and was signed in person, in front of me, by the band members in question. I collected autographs - as a hobby - from the early 1980’s until very recently and I am now in the process of selling off my collection. Many I will keep, but some I am prepared to sell.
Certificates of Authenticity, as issued by autograph dealers, more than likely don’t tell you the story or the circumstances in which the signatures were obtained. I can. You can be rest assured that these signatures are 100% genuine and my letter - detailing when and where they were obtained - should be kept by you in case you decide to sell it on in the future. Genuine autographs nearly always hold their value and, in many cases, escalate.
