- CAUTION NO SHIPPING - ATTENTION PAS D'EXPEDITION -

I am selling here a nice reel to reel tape recorder from the brand AKAI model GX630DB.
It is 1/4 track format , two channels on each side, there is no auto reverse on this model.
Quite unusual is the fact that you can choose to record on one channel ( L or R ) and playback the other one.

This equipment is in very good shape, has some minor traces and IT IS OF COURSE WORKING.
I need to place 3 critics over this set:

• Some minnor traces on the front panel ( look the pictures)

• Presence of a light dammage on the wood part above ( look the pictures)

• The Dolby filter associated light indicator is not working anymore ( the filter is well working).

The tape recorder is working with direct drive ( no belts inside) and is equipped with 3 motors.
The controls of the machine are done through a touch logic control system.
The Heads are Xtal ferrite, these were considered as "indestructible" :)

So after some years of standby , I re-tested the machine, and I can confirm it works fine as much in playback  as in recording should I add that the quality of the recording really outstanding is in high speed ! ! !

This model is the GX630DB, it is equipped with a Dolby filter, that's why the model is mentionned as GX 630 DB
It weights around 20 Kilograms and measures 46,5 x 44 x  24 cm and comes with the two reels you see on the pics ( an AKAI METALL and a AGFA GEVAERT PlASTIC.
