Description
Crazy Date / Rebel Boogie ~ Crazy Teens SCOTT Recording Laboratory, Tuscaloosa Alabama. Recorded 1959
The Crazy Teens. Left to Right: Dave Reynolds (standing with guitar); Ronnie Foster (kneeling with guitar); Billy Ward (at drums); James Farris (standing); and James Jones (clapping).
Extremely rare KILLER Garage RAB rarity with a vintage signature by band leader Dave Reynolds! 500 of these records were originally pressed. Only the second copy I've had in over 10 years. Crazy Date has a 3/4" scuff that extends two thirds of the way into the song, audible to about 1:30. Light ring wear to both sides of label and ghost of penciled price on "date" side. "Rebel" side has no issues other than some light marks. Overall I'd rate the record a strong VG with the scuff issue as discussed.
IMPORTANT: Shipping is $30 priority mail ($5 less than my actual cost) on this record overseas so it can be tracked to it's final destination unless we've done business before.
SOUND CLIPS ~: Sound clips are taken from the actual record listed with no alterations made to affect quality.
SHIPPING ~ It's been a year since postal rates nearly doubled for overseas shipping. I ship 45s in high quality M4520 shipping boxes from Bags Unlimited. The base postal cost for a 6 oz package sent overseas is $12.75 + $1 per box. Due to one disgruntled buyer who left me 4 low dsr numbers for one package with 4 items that was shipped at my cost, I have lost my seller discount. So now my cost for shipping one 45 overseas is $13.75. Yep, it sucks. I charge $13.00 to ship a 45, below my actual cost. I will still ship an additional two 45s at the same price. That's as low as I can go guys. Records that sell for over $100 will be sent registered mail unless we've done business before. Signature confirmation (additional $2.35) is required by ebay on sales of over $250 for buyer/seller coverage.
PAYMENT ~ Payment is dues with 4 days of auction closing.
