GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie il controllo viene effettuato sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i dischi in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati, i 33 giri su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1 mentre gli EP e i singoli a 45 giri con un Thorens TD 166 BC fornito di una testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : bisogna considerare che il primo lato del disco ospita quattro brani per una durata complessiva di circa dieci minuti.  Nel secondo lato si trovano sedici tracce per un tempo globale di poco meno di quattordici minuti. Si parte con un bel tango al quale fanno seguito due brani vivaci basati principalmente su musica elettronica con spazio per un ottimo basso, chitarra e batteria in "Au Studio" (a3). Il primo lato termina con un motivo lento in cui si fondono elettronica e sinfonia. Il secondo lato con i suoi tanti brani di breve durata da l'impressione di una corsa spasmodica, piena di ossessività e tensione. Il maggior lavoro è qui svolto dall'orchestra con sonorità non esattamente di stampo classico ma spesso dalla natura tenebrosa ed angosciante.

Notes : it must consider that the first side contains four pieces for a total duration of about ten minutes. In the second side there are sixteen tracks for a total time of a little less than fourteen minutes. One starts with a beautiful tango followed by two lively tunes mainly based on electronic music with room for a very good bass, guitar and drums in "Au Studio" (a3). The first side ends with a slow track which combines electronic and symphonic music. The second side with its many short tracks gives the impression of a frantic race, full of obsession and suspense. The most effort is done here by the orchestra with sonorities not based quite classically but often from dark and distressing characteristics.

The titles of twenty tracks can be read looking at the back cover depicted in the scan No. 2.
