Description
A great opportunity to buy a RARE VINYL LP from the 60's by The Alan Bown Set and Jimmy James & The Vagabonds called "London Swings "Live" At The Marquee Club".
The LP was recorded live, with each group having one side of the album.
This is a U.K. pressing released in 1966 on the Pye label (NPL 18156)(mono) and has 15 tracks (see photos for track listings).
The matrix numbers in the dead wax are:- NPL 18156 A1 (side one) and NPL 18156 B1 (side two).
The vinyl is in a lovely, clean and shiny EXCELLENT condition. I always examine and grade records under a bright table lamp and there are only a few light surface marks noticeable, but nothing serious. I have played the whole of the record and at the very end of side two, it clicks on the run-out groove, otherwise both sides play fine and sound great.
The labels are clean and free from any writing or major defects. There are some spindle marks evident when tilted towards the light.
The record is flat and has no warps of any description.
The record is housed within a poly-lined inner sleeve in a Very Good condition considering its age.
The front-laminated flipback picture cover is in an EXCELLENT condition. The edges and spine are very strong and the text on the spine is clearly readable (see photo). There are just faint signs of ring-wear on the front, otherwise it has been superbly preserved. The back cover is not laminated and is clean and undamaged.
This is a highly collectable Alan Bown Set / Jimmy James LP and should be of interest to avid collectors.
