  ALAN DALE (1958) THE GREAT ADVENTURE - MGM PROMO   ALAN DALE spent most of his recording years on CORAL records, where he had two fair sized hits in the mid-fifties ('Sweet and Gentle' and 'Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White'.  Alan had a following for his distinctive voice so he proved a consistent radio fave and record seller, if not in the big leagues of some others. CORAL tried to continue the careers of their pop artists by giving them more upbeat (backbeat actually) arrangements. It worked for some, not so much for others.   This little known MGM single by Alan includes the following titles:   SIDE 1:           THE GREAT ADVENTURE SIDE 2:           CHA-CHA-CHA FUNICULA'   The MGM record number is K-12720. This is a DISC JOCKEY PROMOTIONAL, and I'm not sure if the single was ever commercially distributed.
