Description

Jean Morel / Paris Conservatoire Orchestra ~ Albeniz - Iberia & Ravel - Rapsodie Espagnole RCA Victor LSC-6094 1961
Very rare Audiophile Double LP from the highly collectible RCA Living Stereo 'shaded dog' series. Excellent dynamic recording of performances of Albeniz and Ravel by the Paris Coservatoire Orchestra conducted by Jean Morel.
Original 1st US press RCA Victor STEREO Double LP: ~Gatefold cover~ ~Deep groove 'shaded dog' labels with silver 'Living Stereo' print~ ~Both records have early '-1S/-3S' matrices~ ~'I' stamper on each side, denoting an Indianapolis pressing~ ~'A1/B1' stampers on Record 1 and 'A1/A1' stampers on Record 2~
CONDITION: Cover: VG. 4-inch seam split at top. Noticeable wear and tearing to corners and edges. Ringwear. No writing or pen marks.  Labels: VG to VG+. Side 4 label has some noticeable spindle marks.  Vinyl:  Record 1 (Sides 1 and 4): VG- to VG. Surfaces have multiple noticeable scratches. Side 1 has some deep horizontal marks (that run in the direction of the grooves) that cause repetitive ticks and pops on my system. Side 4 plays considerably better and shows mostly superficial marks.   Record 2 (Sides 2 and 3): Strong VG+. Generally glossy with a couple light marks. Great playback.
Bid with confidence. This album is fully refundable if you are not completely satisfied.  Domestic shipping $3.40 (Media Mail). International shipping $18.41 (First Class Mail). No shipping to Italy.
