ALBERT AYLER: BellsLP (ESP [USA] ESP-1010) 1965.
Jacket VG+ due to ring wear, corner/edge wear, writing on jacket and label. Vinyl NM (our highest grade for an opened record). From a large single-owner collection (see our other auctions for more from the same collection). The previous owner made a habit of taping his LPs as he bought them and only playing the tapes to preserve the condition of his vinyl. So, most of the records we are listing from this collection are either Excellent or Near Mint even in cases where the jackets are not. We regret that he didn’t store his records in outer sleeves and that he added his name to many of the records which has led to some wear and lower grades to jackets of otherwise NM records. Better than the other way around though! See each record description for condition specifics. Original 1965 1st pressing on ESP. There are numerous 1st pressing variations from 1965, this one is on orange vinyl with green label. Vinyl plays NM which means it does not look as if it has ever been played. All ESP vinyl was notoriously crude but this sounds as good as any original LPs I’ve heard on ESP.price rating
