Description
ALBERT AYLER nuits de la fondation maeght SHANDAR 2xLP free jazz Ex++/NM
Over the next few months i will be selling on here a superb selection of rare Soul, Jazz, Funk and Latin LP's, acquired from a serious enthusiast who is trimming his collection down! Most are in fantastic collectors condition, and most are original pressings unless otherwise stated...Artist: ALBERT AYLER
Title: NUITS DE LA FONDATION MAEGHT (Volumes 1 & 2)
Format: 2 x LP
Label: SHANDOR, France (83503/83504)
Year: early 70's
Style: Free Jazz
Info: Original French pressing double LP compiling both volumes of 'Nuits de la Fondation Maeght', recorded live at the Fondation Maeght, Saint-Paul de Vence, France on July 25 & 27, 1970.
Comes in original laminated gatefold picture sleeve with paste-on inside containing liner-notes by Daniel Caux in French and English, and has clear poly inner sleeves.
Line-up: Albert Ayler, Mary Maria, Call Cobbs, Steve Tintweiss and Allen Blairman.
On the inside of the sleeve the date listed at the top for volume 1 has erroneously been given as "21 ET 27 JUILLET", so someone has corrected this by writing the number '5' in pencil over the incorrect number '1'.
Eight tracks:-
-side 1:
IN HEART ONLY
SPIRITS
-side 2:
HOLY FAMILY
SPIRITS REJOICE
-side 3:
TRUTH IS MARCHING IN
UNIVERSAL MESSAGE
-side 4:
SPIRITUAL REUNION
MUSIC IS THE HEALING FORCE OF THE UNIVERSE
Vinyl on record one in excellent++ condition and has hardly been touched. Looks superbly clean and shiny with just a couple of light hairline scuffs, and plays through very nicely. Record two in near mint condition - is immaculate and looks unplayed!
Sleeve in excellent condition with no spine splits or sticker marks.
Inner sleeves in near mint condition.
I am selling lots more similar records this week so please check my other auctions and ebay shop..!
