Description
On offer is a hard to find copy of the first edition of the Australian 60’s magazine – ALBERT SEBASTIAN MAGAZINE No 1 – September 1966. It is sub-titled THE YOUNG ADULTS MAGAZINE. It is ulitimately a music magazine with a bit of fashion + other bits of youth culture.
The magazine is approx 20cm X 26cm. It has 42 pages + cover.
IT IS A GREAT INSIGHT INTO THE AUSTRALIAN MUSIC SCENE OF THE TIME.
This edition has a Breakfast Chat With BILLY THORPE / A nine page feature on NORMIE ROWE (It is part one of a two part story) / There are one page stories on DONOVAN and THE LOVIN’ SPOONFULL / There is a double page of pics – THE MIST / THE GROUP + a couple of THE PURPLE HEARTS playing at Sebastians.
+ Heaps of smaller articles.
The magazine is in Good+ condition. The pages are very clean and free of tears. The last three pages have a small crease in the bottom corner. There is a small crease in the bottom corner of the back cover. There is a large crease and a couple of smaller ones in the top corner of the front cover.
A very sound copy of a very hard to find magazine.
