Description

ORIGINAL 78 RPM ALESSANDRO MORESCHI DISC

The last of the Castrati

You are bidding on an excellent copy of an original 78rpm recording of the only castrato ever to have recorded.

This is the Vatican’s own label. He is singing ‘Laudamus te’ with two other Vatican singers. This dates from around 1903 and plays beautifully for a disc well over 100 years old.

This is a marvellous example and he can be heard very clearly in his solo lines on this recording.

This is catalogue number 54780

I have extensive experience of mailing 78s and will pack the record very carefully.

Please note eBay’s enforced shipping charge is not enough to ensure safe shipping. I will find the most economic way of getting the record to the winning bidder.
