Description
Alice Coltrane / Pharoah Sanders / Joe Henderson PTAH THE EL DAOUD 1st Press US PROMO original
1970 original release Gorgeous gatefold jazz album.
On the center labels:
• The Impulse! and ABC Records logos are in a connected rainbow-colored box without the double ® (registration symbols) used on later pressings.
• Text along bottom edge: A Product of ABC Records, Inc. New York, N.Y. 10019 • Made in USA
Disc is a hair off NM and looks almost unplayed, with glossy black hue and only tiniest marks visible at all.
Some light wear to the superb cover outside from storage so VG+ there, but inside is a higher grade again.
Labels are *really* clean and like new. An absolute beauty.
Note: my photos never have filters applied nor are they digitally altered. What you see is what you get.
GRADE & DESCRIPTION (COVER): VG+, light corner and spine wear, and seam fraying/chips along the top edge (see multiple pics).
I've tried to show every potential area of concern possible, especially the light storage rubs on front and back.
Sticker on back cover reads "NOT FOR SALE Promotion Copy" and is pretty clean, as shown.
Cover has full gorgeous colour and arguably looks richer and deeper than the photos show.
GRADE & DESCRIPTION (RECORD): VG++ (play graded), very clean and jet black glossy wax with only light imperfections visible under very strong overhead light. Deadwax section has some marks but of course, these don't sound at all.
Beautiful sounding PROMO first press copy with no tics, skips or groove wear.
No noise underneath and no distractions to 'put up with' or 'get over'.
Nothing affects the sound throughout both sides.
We grade quite conservatively in Australia, so it's VG++, but in the States & elsewhere this is more likely NM.
Conservative Grading Scale I use: NM, VG++, VG+, VG, G, nothing sold below this....
Payment: Paypal only for the States and Europe, bank transfer for Aussies.
Will post anywhere on the planet, at cost.
Add more of my jazz records this week to your bag (more promo Coltrane available), to defray the total. :)
Will be shipped safely in a record mailer, with the record outside the cover to protect the seams.
International Registered post is a MUST for this very rare beast.
Buyer pays return shipping if needed for some reason.
I have over 20 years experience buying and selling internationally on eBay, with 100% positive feedback - so please deal with complete confidence.
