ALICE COOPER - Pretties For You LP 1969 Orig. 1st press Straight Records.
Classic, wigged-out 1969 debut by the Arizona by way of Detroit quintet, produced by Frank Zappa. Initial pressing of these were on Zappa's Straight. Some of these pressing had multi-colored labels, while others, like this run, had orange labels. Either way, it's a very rare pressing. Record is a solid VG, graded conservatively. It plays through without any skips on my Riga turntable. There is a bit of surface noise, but since there really aren't many "quiet" parts of this record. Overall, it sounds loud an clear, befitting of a great mix. The jacket is probably closer to a VG+, but I'll air on the side of caution and keep it in the VG column. It does have some shelf and ring wear, but it is solid with no major dings or splits. Generic inner sleeve. Overall, a very nice play copy.
