Description
In 1995, Seattle rockers Alice in Chains released their fourth studio album. It is titled 'Alice in Chains', but was better known as 'Tripod' or 'Three Legged Dog'. The reason for the nicknames is the dog on the cover. He's missing a leg! The LP was the last studio album to feature original lead singer Layne Staley and the first to feature bassist Mike Inez. (Inez replaced original bass player Mike Starr.)
Last year, in 2025, the band and their label released a special 35th anniversary vinyl version that included standard black vinyl and a few different colored vinyl sets. Walmart had the exclusive "andromeda purple and white" variation, and that is what's up for grabs today!
This bad boy is STILL SEALED and NEVER OPENED or PLAYED! I've included a few stock photos so you can see what the actual records look like (it's a double album). Of course, with colored vinyl, no two are exactly alike. Since this is still sealed, I have no way of seeing what the actual vinyl looks like, but rest assured, the two records will look and sound AMAZING!
THIRTY years of grunge goodness, from one of the most important Seattle rock bands that ever was! Alice is still going strong, and they still sound fantastic with vocals from both lead guitarist Jerry Cantrelle and rhythm guitarist William DuVall. DuVall has a voice with similarities to Layne, but he's definitely brought new blood and immense talent to this band. It's great to hear Alice in Chains, still rocking, still releasing new music and playing shows, and still relevant!
The vinyl and insides will be in mint condition. The outside gatefold jacket is shrink wrapped with only one or two nearly invisible flaws. Normal wear and tear, but nothing bad, at all. Make Alice in Chains the newest addition to your always growing vinyl collection!
(RIP to both Layne Staley and Mike Starr. You guys helped the band to become one of the finest rock and roll acts of the 90s and beyond. Both of you were very talented and both of you are missed!)
