Description

Alkana - Welcome To My Paradise LP. Vinyl reissue of 1978 monster hard rock guitar rarity of the progressive heavy rock underworld, a cult album for the proto-Epic Metal freaks. Many claim this one's up there with such legendary albums as 'From The Fjords' from Legend, 'Armed To The Teeth' from Asia, or Ashbury's 'Endless Skies'. This also is a must-have for any Pomp-Rock fan and a recommended record for Psych-Rock circles, with an entree in the 'Acid Archives' guide. The talent and songwriting skills of Californian guitar god Danny Alkana is proven by the fact that this record can actually please different groups of fans of underground '70s rock. From straight-on rockers like the opener 'California Rock'n'Roll Queen' and 'On Our Own', to the progressive ideas in 'Montezuma's Revenge', and ending with the most pomp-epic heavy rock anthem 'The Tower', these are 7 songs that -everyone agrees about- are killers, no fillers! Singing on this record is none other than Mr. Jack Rucker, who in the early '80s had a short but joyful career with the melodic Epic Metal gods WARLORD! The value of this record is as big as its music. (m-/m-, sealed)
