ALL SORTS OF FOLK Mega Rare Private FOLK LP Female Vox 1972 UK CH103-M
Here we go with one of the Rarest Albums in the UK-
ALL SORTS OF FOLK - SONGS & BALLADS sung by the The Folk Group of Katharine Berkley’s School
directed by John West 1972 Together with 3 inserts - Which give details of the recording dates and arrangements for the recording at the time-
This copy was owned by Stephanie Smith - One of the performers on this superb
recording - She has written her name on the top right of the front cover and added some notes to one of the songs in blue biro on one of the inserts.

CONDITION - Cover is VERY GOOD with Light signs of wear -
This is an unlaminated sleeve and being largely white is fragile and unforgiving when it comes to wear.
But really considering its age its in great shape !
INSERTS- Are VERY GOOD - They have been folded and have a few creases ( See Photo 2)
VINYL is VERY GOOD - Visually the disc is close to Excellent with a number of mild surface marks -
Although audibly there are light clicks and noticible background crackles, more so on side One -
Being a private pressing I suspect this is more to do with the quality of the pressing than surface marks
Again for a private press it is very well recorded with a lovely bright sound particularly on the instrumental tracks.
Recorded by one Charles Horrell who really seemed to know what he was doing .
I find this a haunting and deeply truthful recording - “All my Trials” for example is just beautiful .
So there we are - A ridiculously rare album that happily has considerable musical merit both in the choice and performance of the material .
