Description Of Item For Sale: A 1957 1st Press record in a thin card sleeve with PVC inner sleeve,and a lovely little booklet which explains a little about each song.Sleevenotes explain how A.L.Lloyd moved from England to Australia at the age of 15,and that many of these tunes came from England or Ireland,and then some of them changed to varying degrees and adapted by the men and women who had made their new life in the australian Bush.

This is an interesting Album,and If not for the fact that it is an australian made record,I am sure it would be rated highly by the U.K. Record Collector Price Guide(Which I also use to grade the Condition)

Condition:

Sleeve- Very Good+.I think the photos show this sleeve well.There are no splits.The flifbacks are firmly glued,and it is fairly clean.Please see the crease on the frontleft bottom corner,and the lifted surface on the rear across the title.The back actually looks nicer in reral life than the digital picture shows.

Vinyl- Excellent,but...please read:The Vinyl is nice and glossy with not too many light scratches.However,this Vinyl would certainly sparkle more with a light clean,it has a few finger prints,and some light dust/dirt.I played it,there are no nasty hisses(the frying pan sound I have heard it called)during play,but you do get the occational light click.No music gets jumped passed or missed,and I think that it is mainly due to little grubby specks.In all,and not a phrase I often use"It is in great condition for it's age"This is not a way of saying,it plays bad but it is old,it really does sound good.

Labels- Excellent.Lovely and clean.There is a spindlemark on side 2,but not serious.

Innersleeve-Excellent.No splits.

Extra Items,e.g.Poster,Insert-BOOKLET;Booklet is in Excellent condition,clean and strong.Interesting insight into song origens,and it contains the lyrics,and was actually written by A.L.Lloyd.

All Items are Graded As In The Record Collector 2006 Price Guide,in Brief these grades are as folows:

Mint-Unplayed,sealed or as good as an unplayed undamaged item,.

Excellent-Some signs the record has been played,very little lessening in sound quality.Cover/Packaging might have slight wear/creasing.

Very Good-Been Played many times,no major deterioration in sound,despite noticeable surface marks,occational light scratch.Normal wear & tear on the cover or extra items,without major defect is acceptable.

Good-Played so much,used so much,sounds bad,many problems such as splits,stains etc.

Fair-Just Playable-not nice.
