CONDITION :

SIDE 1 = EXCELLENT

Hardly any visible surface marks at all - even under a strong light.

SIDE 2 = EXCELLENT

Hardly any visible surface marks at all - even under a strong light.

SIDE 3 = VERY GOOD+

A couple of surface light scratches/marks on Track 1, which can be clearly seen, but which cause no audible issues whatsoever. Otherwise, hardly any other visible surface marks in normal light. Some very light hairline marks, from where the record has been taken out of it's sleeve over the years, which can, for the most part, only be seen under a strong light. Nothing which causes any adverse effect upon sound quality.

SIDE 4 = EXCELLENT-

Hardly any visible surface marks in normal light. Some very light hairline marks, from where the record has been taken out of it's sleeve over the years, which can, for the most part, only be seen under a strong light. Nothing which causes any adverse effect upon sound quality.

UNLAMINATED GATEFOLD SLEEVE = EXCELLENT-

In common with most unlaminated copies of this LP, there is some very minor general wear/age-related discolouration to spine, edges, and corners, but no seam splits. No writing anywhere. No creases. Still has original Polydor factory sticker on back. Spine in excellent condition, and all text still clearly legible.

INFORMATION INSERT SHEET = EXCELLENT

All intact. No wear. No tears. No creasing. No writing anywhere.

Condition of discs as stated above. Lustrous vinyl. Clean labels. No spindle marks. Original STEREO mixes of both sides. No skips, jumps, sticking, warps, or writing on labels. Very clean labels. Excellent sound quality throughout, with hardly any surface noise, and no distracting clicks or pops or any issues like that. A very listenable double-LP indeed. Tested on a Thorens turntable.

Condition of unlaminated gatefold sleeve as stated above. Some very minor general wear.

Condition of Insert Sheet is Excellent. No significant defects. (This is so often missing these days..)

Both LP's supplied in original company plain white inner sleeves with polythene inserts, with "plastic bags can be dangerous" text. These are both in very good condition, with no creasing, tears, or writing. One has a slight seam split to the top of one edge. Some age-related discolouration in places.

GRADING:

All records are graded using the UK ‘Record Collector’ format:

MINT (M):

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
