The complete Tristan, one of the glories of the gramophone and one of the greatest treasures of the HMV catalogue. Never surpassed, it belongs to that category of "must have" Wagner recordings that would also probably include Knappertbusch's 1951 Parsifal and the Keilberth 1955 Bayreuth stereo Ring.
