SAMBA DE AMOR / FARBE BLUES ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by ALPHA JAZZ. Original Switzerland private pressing on the Alpha label (ZYT 505), from 1984. Absolutely killer euro Brazilian groove from the Swiss jazz underground. Little known, yet cult item by an obscure group with sexy female singer. The SAMBA DE AMOR theme has an incredible jazz dance / indie latin fusion sound with heavy instrumentation. Infectious piano / fender bass / thunderous breakbeat samba drums and soaring scat vocals. The first minute or so is instrumental until the amazing vocals kick in. Freestyle drum breaks follow then it's back into the main groove. Great for DJs. Big record with certain Japanese collectors. Imagine a super-hard Valli Scavelli tune with rhythms that easily rival anything from the German Glücklich series. Booming production. Seldom comes up for sale. Striking pop art inspired artwork with cool image of the group on back sleeve. Very rare 45!!!

Vinyl is in shiny, VG+ condition overall with light scuffs and hairlines. Some old pressing marks to both sides. Surface noises (mostly to intros and all copies seem to have this). Booming production. The soft card picture sleeve is in VG+ condition with ring creasing / ring dirt marks / rub marks / edge and corner wear in places. Mini name in pen front top right corner. Some ink fading / bleeding. Very rare 45!!!
