Pressing: original benin (made by satel) MAILPS 1046 hand written on labels /  MAILPS 1047 etched on dead wax

Tracks: dougna té soyé, té ré la sebè, mon amour, min ni min ye gnognon fè, allah ma na ko min ké / a chacun son probleme, mano et gadi, fantani, nan folo, enka miri gnogon na.

Condition Record: VG/VG- (surface marks, some thin scratches in the middle of A side, plays nicely overall with little crackles here & there)

Condition Cover: G (water damage on bottom= black stains, bite on right bottom)

This is a vinyl test pressing of the first amadou & mariam's LP commercially released on cassette under the reference MAILPS 1047 but never on vinyl (as far as i know). I got it from a famous radio presenter who had it to promote it. Test pressings are always made in very small quantity so no need to say that it is an exclusive record & i can assume that the handful of copies that may have existed have big chances to be damaged or distroyed today. It is always pretentious to think that you may be the only person to own one record but here we are not far from the truth.
The cover is a hand drawn model of what would have been the commercial cover, this has probably been drawn by maikano himself or a close assitant. The design is similar to what you can see on the cassette release. It is made on a recycled cover of  "daouda le sentimental" that was previously released on Maikano.
