THE ULTIMATE ARCHIVE COPY - NEAR MINT & EVERY COLLECTOR'S DREAM!!
This truly is one of the toughest (and BEST) discs to find from the late-60s Mod/Psych scene and is surely going to provoke a real dogfight amongst all you serious collectors out there!!!
October '67 signalled the arrival on record of cult Leicester group THE FAMILY whose debut single, "Scene Through The Eye Of A Lens" not only has a trippy title but is also one of the very TOP PSYCH performances ever captured on vinyl!!! Here we have a NEAR MINT copy of this legendary 45 with the also great "Gypsy Woman" on the flipside; it's absolutely NOT the horrible mis-pressing (i.e. with Otis Redding on the flip) and is 100% guaranteed to have superb performances on both sides from THE FAMILY!!! "Scene" starts off real slow with Roger Chapman's famous warble combined with a hypnotic slightly eastern sound but, mid-way into this Psych classic, the pulsating lysergic rhythms take the listener beyond the stars!!!
So, bid now to win this gem or, after the auction has ended, you can sit back in your chair and wonder how you managed to let this MONSTER MOD PSYCH RARITY pass you by!!!
THIS IS AN ORIGIANL VERY RARE 7" IN SUPERB CONDITION!
