Description

This is the American Blues album called American Blues Is Here.  Originally released in 1968 on Karma.  I do not know what year this reissue was made.  This is a ridiculously rare record.  This is the band that Dusty Hill and Frank Beard were in before joining forces with Billy F. Gibbons to form ZZ Top.  It covers similar sonic territory to Billy's pre-Top group, Moving Sidewalks - Texas psychedelia.  American Blues is definitely weirder than Moving Sidewalks, though.  Musically, it also shares similarities to other Texas groups of the time, like 13th Floor Elevators or Red Krayola,  It should also be noted that the trio is rounded out by Rocky Hill, Dusty's brother.  As for the condition...  Side One plays pretty cleanly.  Side Two is a bit noisier, though not all the time.  While the vinyl looks a bit dodgy in spots (I'm guessing it's due to imperfections in the actual pressing), it seems like a proper cleaning might get rid of a lot of the issues.  Overall, it's not really THAT bad, but I would prefer to err on the side of caution.  Then again, the sleeve itself boasts that "The crackles are intentional - Please do not adjust your set," so I don't know what to think!!!  Glare in photos is due to sunlight, and not indicative of flaws in the actual item.  I will ship internationally, though cost will vary based on location.
