Now a sought after piece of FM Radio History, this American Country Countdown Radio Program is one of many distributed to Radio stations from ABC Watermark. Station Jingles and Topical promos are located throughout this play-list along with many, many country music hits from 1981 across three LP's.
Based on the success of American Top 40, Casey Kasem and Don Bustany, together with Tom Rounds of Watermark, created a country version of the top 40 program called American Country Countdown.
Begun in 1973, the show was originally hosted by comedian Don Bowman until 1978, when Bob Kingsley succeeded him as host. Kingsley molded the fledgling program into a major success and hosted the program until December 2005.
The Billboard Hot Country Singles chart was the official chart for the countdown program.

Record Grading:
Near Mint: This is the top grade and is in pristine condition with excellent gloss and no marks.
May look unplayed. A NM cover will show no signs of wear.
A NM- is slightly below the NM grade with only one imperfection but generally flawless.
VG++: Record may have sleeve marks from being pulled in and out of a cover. Typically these marks will only be viewable under a bright light bulb. Generally will play through like a NM- with little to no surface noise. Cover may have storage wear, tiny age spots, or creasing, nothing distracting or major.
VG+: Visible scuffing or surface wear may be present, but not deep enough to affect play. VG+ records may have slight surface noise, but only noticeable in quiet passages of music (or at beginning of record or between tracks.) This slight surface noise should not overwhelm the music experience otherwise. Covers in this grade may have ringwear, edgewear, creases, or general shelf wear. Splits or writing on cover or label will be noted.
VG: Vinyl will display many hairline scuffs or scratches, but will play with a tolerable amount of noise. A great play copy but clearly used. Cover may have splits and heavy wear, writting or stains, and possible tears or creases.
