Description

AMS 16115 FRANCK Symphony PARAY Mercury Living Presence Stereo 1st MAROON RFR 1

Franck, Symphony in D Minor.

Paul Paray and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.

Original UK pressed Mercury Olympian Series Living Presence stereo LP, AMS 16115 (US catalogue number SR 90285).

Earliest heavyweight vinyl pressing with deep maroon labels and silver print.

Side 1: SR-90285 A RFR-1 P-17 (etched) R 1 (stamped) / Side 2: SR-90285 B R FFR-1 P17 (etched) G 1 (stamped)

Vinyl a strong EX plus. Very few spider trail marks are detectable around the spindle areas. Labels are bright and undefaced. Playing surfaces still have an as new gloss and close inspection with a magnifying glass reveals just a couple of superficial hairline sleeve removal type scuffs.

Playback is excellent throughout, without background crackle, ticks or clicks, and the disc is not distorted or groove damaged.

Original poly-lined Emitex inner sleeve EX with no tearing or browning.

External sleeve top end EX. Structurally in superb shape and with no wear to seams, backflaps etc. White rear panel crisp and unbrowned. Just a fraction of shelving rubbing to main panels, but this is marginal.
