Description

ANATOMY OF A MURDER by DUKE ELLINGTON up for auction.  Originally released in 1959 on COLUMBIA RECORDS, this the MOBILE FIDELITY SOUND LABS ANADISQ 200 version issued in 1995. A limited edition, this copy is number 1685.
The LP is not sealed as I opened it back in 1995.  If I played it at all, it would have been once on a VPI turntable.  The LP then went straight into storage where it has remained until now.  Therefore, this is a MINT copy.
Composed by DUKE ELLINGTON & BILLY STRAYHORN, musicians include CAT ANDERSON, JOHNNY HODGES, RUSSELL PROCOPE, RAY NANCE, JIMMY HAMILTON, CLARK TERRY, GERALD WILSON, HARRY CARNEY and PAUL GONZALVES to name a few.
ANATOMY OF A MURDER was directed by OTTO PREMINGER and starred JIMMY STEWART, LEE REMICK, BEN GAZZARA, ARTHUR O'CONNELL & GEORGE C. SCOTT.  DUKE ELLINGTON appeared as "PIE-EYE."
The album cover, like the opening credits and film poster, was designed by SAUL BASS.
A must have for the DUKE ELLINGTON completist, SOUNDTRACK collector and/or AUDIOPHILE.
LP is sold as is.  Paypal only, please.
International buyers please note that there is a $6.00 packaging/handling fee.
