Description
Here we have Andrew Hill - Point Of Departure. This is a 1973 Blue Note Stereo Reissue ( United Artists Blue Note Label - dark blue with black "b"). Stamped VAN GELDER STEREO in the deadwax - see photos.
The records has been Degritter cleaned and has come up very shiny with a couple of faint hairlines on Side 2 Track 3 which have no impact on playback. Side 1 is very clean with no real marks. Clean labels and spindle holes - see photos. We have graded EX.
Playback is typically vibrant, bold and clean with superb instrument separation and " in the room" sound. No issues - no jumping or sticking. Low noise floor.
The outer sleeve is still pretty clean and sturdy with a small 5cm split to the spine near the top. Otherwise no real damage, some ringwear visible to the lower front, and corner rubbing to the opening. No writing, tape or tears.
The heavyweight Blue Note inner sleeve with blue musical notes is present and still doing a great job.
A lovely copy for any Blue Note collector or simply to own, play and enjoy.
