Description
This is a rare opportunity for those who love the jazz music from back in the sixties. The album is titled Andrew McPherson at Smedley's. Smedley's is or was located in Chicago at the New Harper Court Art Center. At the time the album was made when Andrew was 34. It is on the Squalor label and is record number LP-101. I think you have to scroll down a bit to the record with the song bites . The music is really really exceptional. Andrew has led the group 'Cleffs' for sixteen years and from this group came: Ramsey Lewis, Red Holt and El Dee Young.
One more thing: This is signed in blue ink and dated. The inscription reads: 10-13-68 to Dot, the old days & etc, Etc, & E.T.C- Andrew.
Since I was not present when signed I cannot confrim or verify this is indeed Andrew McPherson's signature. I have searched and could not find any of his signatures to compare the one that is on the album.
Overall condition is good for the album and cover. I have not played the album so I cannot say how fine it sounds. Sorry. Don't miss out on this rare chance to own a truly remarkable album made by a remarkable artist.
Just to clarify--I re read my answer and it seemed unclear as if I was talking only about the cover. The cover is in vg condition and the album condition is as described after my comment about the cover.
