Description
Andy Warhol Cover Art
Very rare Andy Warhol artwork here: this was his 5th commissioned record, circa 1952, and was only released as an EP. Only 9 copies have ever showed up on Ebay that I know of and the copy in this auction is a very clean & near mint in every way. The cover has no edge or corner wear or bends with perfectly square flawless corners and edges. The front of the cover is very clean and has 2 very small blemishes one of them is pointed out with a eye glass repair screwdriver along the bottom edge of the graphics about a 1" right of the center where the sticker is pushed up a very slightly. The other blemish is where the cover art sticker goes over the folds in the cardboard there is faint brown line on the graphics sticker that follows the pattern in which the cardboard was folded. The back of the cover is in perfect condition with no stains, writing or any damage what so ever. On both sides of the cover the paper and cardboard remain very white with no signs of yellowing. The record disc itself looks like it may have been played once or twice. The labels on both sides are flawless the vinyl has one small light scratch on side 1 and 2 small scuffs on side 2. All of which look like scuffs from it sliding in and out of the cardboard jacket. When I got the record home I removed the record and put in a proper jacket separate from the cardboard cover to insure that there would be no more scuffing of the record. Please ask any question you may have before bidding and if you would like more detailed pictures please ask. I am trying to be conservative on my grading as this a very clean record and in my opinion the only way to find a cleaner one would be if it was still in its shrink wrap. I have not attempted to clean this item in anyway and am selling it in as found condition. I grade the Jacket as NM and the Vinyl as NM- Shipping: Item will ship on the next business day after payment is received via USPS Priority Mail with Insurance, tracking and Signature Conformation. The record will be carefully packed and double boxed to help insure a safe delivery. Payment: Payment must be made in full within 48 hours of the auctions end .
