Andy Warhol began his career as illustrator when he moved to New York City 1949. In addition to magazines, he drew many illustrations for Columbia Records from 1949 to the early fifties, then did many more for RCA Victor/Bluebird in the mid-fifties, and also the odd Blue Note/Riverside Jazz release too. CONSERVATIVE GRADING. Jacket VG++ / Record VG++ The jacket has faint wear and small damage at bottom of opening. The vinyl has minor scuffing and only a few light scratches. Minor crackle is audible on playback but isn't too distracting. Side 1/2 labels are perfect.
RARE and highly sought-after Warhol Art Cover RCA Bluebird LP (LBC-1061) of the TCHAIKOVSKY Violin Concerto in a performance from 1945 featuring Erica Morini, accompanied by Desire Defauw and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Cover still has a nice clean sheen, and shows slight signs of wear, corner wear, 3.75" bottom seam split. The LP is in excellent condition for its age, showing a couple of scratches that do not overpower the music.
