Angelillo et Hamel "Complicité" Barclay 80180
Condition: Record VG+ (2 inch scuff on label, record is EX) / Cover VG- (black ink repairs on cover of record read a bit streaky, but overall the cover presents okay).
All time favourite from Quebec. Soul jazz perfection with moody french vocals, near sound library production and very appealing Brazilian touches. Listen to "Je Veux Te Dire Une Chanson" on youtube if you don't know this album. A deep cut and rare groove classic, and the entire record is great. Vic Angelillo's fingerprints can be found on many of the finest jazz releases on CBC (including the Nick Ayoub), but this was Henri Hamel's only outing, or so it seems. Highest recommendation.
