1964 1-SIDED EMIDISC ACETATE
I'M CRYING
Here is a extremely rare original one-sided uk Emidisc acetate by the Animals. The track ''I'm Crying'' is a really superb moody Hammond-Mod-Freakbeat track that just sounds better and better every time it's heard, the track was officially released in the uk in 1964 on Columbia records (DB-7354), with ''Take It Easy'' on the B-Side. With this listing i have included a complete MP3 of the playing side, this MP3 was taken directly from the acetate. There would have only ever been just a couple of these acetates ever pressed, so here is a very rare opportunity to secure a unique piece of uk Eric Burdon/Animals Mod-Freakbeat memorabilia in nice playing condition. CONDITION = VG+ (PLAYS AND SOUNDS SUPERB)
The playing side is in VG+ condition, there are no stand out surface marks, scuffs or scratches, there are just some minute light top surface hairlines that do nothing to affect play, the track actually plays and sounds really excellent throughout with barely any background crackle at all, there are certainly no loud clicks or pops to be heard. The blank non playing side is in very good condition, there is a very small amount of light cracking in one very small area near the outer edge, this acetate has a metal plate running right through it so there is no way in the world that this small amount of minor cracking on the blank side would ever affect the playing side, this minor flaw is quite hard to spot at first and i believe that most would not even mention it in their description. As you can see from the pictures the Emidisc white paper label has not aged too well and has almost turned grey in colour, but the hand written text can still be read. The record comes in a plain white paper sleeve which is in excellent very clean condition.
If you collect rare Mod, Psych and Freakbeat 45's, and the stranger and more obscure beat and Pop-Sike releases from the mid to late 1960's, then this musically superb mega-rare original 1964 uk 'Animals' EMIDISC acetate 45 would make a really brilliant addition to any serious collection.
