ANN JONES
1952 King 45
Ann is another one of those somewhat obscure singers on King – and she came from Kansas out to Cincinnatti to try her hand at country music, both as a singer and as a writer. She wrote both of the songs on this 45.
When this record turns up – if it ever does – it’s typically on a 78rpm. But here you have one of those rarely seen 1952 country 45rpms ! The titles here are “You Won’t Find Me Singing The Blues For You” and “Be Safe – Be Sure – Be Careful” Ann cut nine singles for King and this one was her fourth, from 1952.
