Very rare and hard to find British folk classic that has become increasingly collectable over the last few years. Released in 1971 this was the first album she released under her own name, having contributed two songs to a thematic album, The Iron Muse, released by Topic Records in 1963 and later an album called The Bird in The Bush which is still regarded as one of the best collections of traditional erotic folksongs recorded in the 1960s.

Although she travelled widely in the 1960s and early 1970s, appearing at folk clubs and venues in England and Ireland, Anne Briggs never aspired to commercial success or to achieve widespread public acknowledgment of her music. However, she was a highly influential figure in the English folk music revival, being a source of songs and musical inspiration for others such as A.L. Lloyd, Bert Jansch, Jimmy Page, The Watersons, June Tabor, Sandy Denny, Richard Thompson and Maddy Prior.
