Description

ANNETTE PEACOCK “I'm The One” Original 1972 UK 9-track RCA Victor
orange label vinyl LP. Catalogue number SF 8255.

Annette Peacock’s astonishing solo debut album which fuses blues, jazz, and avant garde electronic experimentation with free form poetry and proto-rap. Oh yeah on tracks like “Pony” it’s pretty funky as well. She puts her voice through a Moog synthesiser for some nerve-shredding effects and created a kind of elctronic ballard form which was decades too early and still surprises.

CONDITION: Overall excellent.
Sleeve: Housed in a front laminated picture sleeve which shows only minor signs of age and is largely intact. Back of sleeve is non-laminated and has very light signs of storage.

The vinyl is shiny and blemish free, as are the labels. Was purchased secondhand by me about 20 years ago. Probably been played through half a dozen times at most. Playback is wonderful. Crisp with lovely detail. Some very light crackle on a couple of the quieter tracks but this at a very low level. Smashing copy.
