PRODUCED byLEE HAZLEWOOD !!
You would never expect to hear sex kitten
ANN-MARGRET
purring over a fuzz guitar rock track
but that's exactly what producer
LEE HAZLEWOOD
chose for the debut single on his LHI label !!
It's now a Mod/Freakbeat favorite.
Lee was coming off a series of "tough girl" hits forNANCY SINATRA
at the time of this release.
ANN-MARGRET
had recently teamed up with
ELVIS PRESLEY in
"VIVA LAS VEGAS"
so this harder-edged groove
was not such a shock at the time.
