Description
Up for auction is a new/sealed vintage stereo LP of Ann-Margret's SONGS FROM THE SWINGER and Other Swingin' Songs - RCA LSP-3710. Arranged and Conducted by the great Marty Paich, with the famous John Williams (then referred to as "Johnny Williams" at this early point in his career) and Quincy Jones arranging selected songs on the album instead of Mr. Paich. The album was produced by renowned recording engineer Al Schmitt and Neely Plumb, and actually recorded by Hank Cicalo at RCA Victor's Music Center of the World in Hollywood. The movie was produced and directed by George Sidney.
Condition is 9+/SS, graded by a fussy record collector (see grading scale below). There is a very slight bend at the bottom edge of the cover, at the side where the record would come out if it was open. It covers the short area in length (between a 1/4-1/2" long) where the front cover slick folds over to meet the back. This occurs only along this edge, and doesn't have any further affect on the appearance of either the front or back cover. I only noticed it when trying to find any condition issues - otherwise, I don't think I would have ever seen it. The close-up picture is along the middle of the side to show that it is sealed.
I got this record years ago from someone I dated briefly. Her father used to work for RCA, so I know the history of this item and that it has been legitimately sealed since in was manufactured in the 1960's. This is the typically more desirable stereo version of Ann's rarest LP, and is likely one of the best copies of the album in existence.

Grading scale:
Covers Gem Mint 10 – Cover is virtually perfect, without defect.
Mint 9 – Cover has no visible wear. Colors are full and bright. There will be no serious defects.
Near Mint 8 – Cover seems new at first glance, but has some barely noticeable wear. Colors are full, but may be subdued. White areas may have some very slight aging.
Excellent 7 – Cover has some very minor wear, but no serious defects. Some minor friction or light flaking may exist. Corners are relatively sharp, with maybe some minor wear. May have some age mellowing of the white and colored areas.
Very Good-Excellent 6 – Some moderate wear will be noticeable on artwork, but there will be no serious problems. Corners will not have significant wear.
Records Gem Mint 10 – Vinyl has no imperfections.
Mint 9 – Vinyl has no meaningful imperfections. Vinyl luster is full.
Near Mint 8 – Vinyl has a few minor imperfections and should play without noticeable surface noise. Vinyl luster is nearly full.
Excellent 7 – Vinyl has a few noticeable imperfections. Vinyl still displays some luster. Record may play with some slight surface noise, but nothing very distracting.
Very Good 6 – Vinyl has more noticeable, but not major, imperfections. May display some original luster. Record may play with some more surface noise than a grade 7, but will not overwhelm the sound.
