Hello and Welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:
TITLE/ARTIST: "Play Gypsy Play" by Antal Kocze "King of the Gypsies" and His Band on the Westminster Records label (WP 6003) in vintage original high fidelity sound, issued in 1955.
CONDITION OF VINYL: Near Mint(Vinyl is still carefully encased in its original soft plastic inner sleeve, and taped closed; I did not remove the tape, but looking through the plastic I see a beautiful record - graded visually using special daylight balanced spotlight). CONDITION OF JACKET: VG++(Jacket has very light age, corner, edge and rub wear, with a small ding in the opening side top right - please see photos of actual album offered).
SPECIAL FEATURES: Very rare Westminster Records original issue of a spectacular Antal Kocze album, featuring many great gypsy melodies. A treat not to be missed is the COVER photo. Excellent condition. Back cover features complete song and artist information, adding up to a very nice package.
TRACKS: Hungarian Dance, Sad Sunday, Dances from Hungary, Song and Czardas, Czardas, Hungarian Dance, Gypsy Song, Magyar Dance, Hungarian Song, and Czardas.
SPECIAL NOTES: All of our albums are visually graded, but we will gladly play them to confirm condition. Please email us if you would like that service. RATING SYSTEM: New (sealed in original wrap); Near Mint (very light wear and uniform glossy vinyl appearance; one or two light rubs on jacket surface or corner); VG++ (light wear that is visible but not audible; light wear to jacket edges or corners); VG+ (many marks on record surface that are lightly audible during quiet passages; small splits, marks, or tears on jacket); VG (surface covered with light scuffs or marks that are audible during all but loudest passages; jacket extensively marked, split, or torn: note: we only sell this grade on very rare records).
