ANTHEM “Other Worlds” Private Canadian Xian Prog Psych lp shrink!

1980/Canada/Pyramid Records OW-2706…..here’s a rare original pressing of this very elusive lp. The cover is in the shrink and in M- condition. The vinyl is in VG+ condition. There are some super super light scuffs and a couple of very light marks mainly on side one. The record plays with crackle throughout side one to varying degrees, side two plays much cleaner, at least without most crackle and both sides plays with clean fidelity. The labels are clean. Noteworthy Canadian melodic rock private press with occasional prog/classic-rock edges.  Great electric guitar work throughout, applying significant sting to tracks like ‘Taking A Chance’, ‘In Search Of A Friend’ and ‘There Was A Time’.  Several songs like ‘The Love Of God’, ‘King Of Everything’, ‘It’s Time’ and the title track seem to hover between “soft rock” and “rock”, mainly from the presence of electric piano which can sometimes have a mellowing effect.  Sounds a little like Gerry Rafferty on the smooth-flowing ‘Why Don’t You Let Him?’.  ‘With You’ is an excellent acoustic rock track that’s accompanied solely by guitar.  The arrangements are fairly lean, but the sound is bright and clear.  Has the feel of a male solo album, since there seems to be just one guy singing on each song.  Not much in the way of credits, but the author for all of the songs is listed as Michael Tacoma.  Smithville, Ontario private label.     (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).

MINT: as stated with no defects

NEAR MINT: as stated near Mint!, or Mint Minus, same thing, very clean with no defect to sound or visual appearance, one scuff or mark may be permitted but it will be mentioned in the description, a near Mint record looks and plays very clean

EXCELLENT: not much below near Mint, may have a delete hole and/or a minor defect or two not visually detracting from the cover, the vinyl will appear shiny and in clean condition with very minor defects not affecting the sound, still very clean and very collectable!

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal cover wear and/or delete/splits, still visually appealing, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much

VG+ a little more cover/ring wear and delete, splits etc., the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects, both cover and vinyl no matter the condition.
