BAILE DEL FAROLILLO / CALYPSO BERNARDO ... 7-inch, 45rpm OST single by ANTONIO PEREZ OLEA. Original Italian pressing on the CAM label (CP. 36775), from 1963. Outstanding, Italian-only soundtrack by the little known, Spanish film composer. Features (for us, anyway) the 2 best jazz themes from the seldom heard IL Peccato film score. Both sides are superb with small group / sophisticated sound. BAILE DEL FAROLILLO is a seductive modern jazz theme with cool modal horns / vibes / bassline and mysterious atmospheres. Sublime, down-tempo playing, reminiscent of Giorgio Gaslini Quartet - Blues All'Alba (from Michelangelo Antonioni's La Notte film) and other desirable jazz scores of the period by Piero Piccioni or Armando Trovajoli. CALYPSO BERNARDO is uplifting, sexy and addictive latin jazz with afro cuban / Caribbean jump-up and traditional Spanish folk influences. Great for DJs with infectious montuno piano hooks and crashing rhythms. Mood music from the cult film directed by Jorge Grau starring Umberto Orsini / Marisa Solinas and Maria Cuadra. Modernist cum Picasso meets medieval artwork sleeve design by Lazzarini. Really hard to find in top condition and this is the best copy we have ever seen ;) Rare OST 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition (closer to M-) with some hairlines / a few tiny scuffs and some faded old pressing residue marks (mostly to inner deadwax area). Light surface noises. Some soft pops / ticks (as you can hear on the soundclip) but impossible to find mint. The soft card picture sleeve is closer to M- condition overall with minimal light wear. A little ring creasing and corner wear from storage. Rare OST 45!!!
